When you lower the backrest the base of the seat rises increasing the angle of the backrest up to 125° and from about 4 months of age when you raise the backrest the base of the seat returns to its original position keeping an angle of 110° this also adjusts the five point safety harness to the correct position without having to undo and rethread the harness as your child grows. The new Jane Strata comes with a 5 point safety harness which is unusual for this type of baby car seat as most only have a 3-point harness. The baby car seat comes complete with a cotton insert, and an insect net. The 4 position carry handle also acts as an anti-rotation device to provide even greater protection, and it can be adjusted with one hand.
