One of our website visitors submitted this review of the Bugaboo Bee. Name withheld.

I am very disappointed to have purchased this stroller after so much research on which stroller is the right for me and my baby. My baby is now 8 months and she literally grew out of the stroller...her legs are hanging down as there is no footrest and i can see that it’s very frustrating for the baby as she is trying to rest her feet on the side handles of the stroller. I am now looking to buy a new stroller...

Hi,

We have just received the all new OBaby Zynergy Pramette and I have to say it is stunning to look at and the build quality is outstanding.

With a choice of 3 colours for the seat unit and 3 choices of chassis you can create the look you crave. Having tested it this morning I have to say it is very easy to manage, putting it up and down is very easy and it handles really well even with an older and larger child. It would be ideal for moving around small shops with tight corners and also for walks in the park. I do prefer the 3TEC chassis which increases manoeuvrability, but the other 2 chassis are also very good.

In reflection I think this is the best OBaby range so far as some of the older models didn't always live upto that of other brands but the Zynergy is a winner.

Hi,

I'm not sure of the exact size of your boot but one of the smallest and most practical Strollers are the Petite Star Zia range. they come in either 3 or 4 wheeld versions and the folded dimensions are: 75cm x 36cm x 34cm (3 wheeld version) and 76cm x 42xm x 37cm (4 wheeld version)

Both are available from our website www.TinyTotsNurserySupplies.co.uk.

Other small folding models are available please contact us at sales.tinytots@hotmail.com for more information.

Regards,
MIKE.

We were very disapointed with the Leebruss Takeoff stroller. We purchased it through John Lewis at their Kingston store in December 2009 for £155. We have an 8 month old son and liked the idea of the chair so we could take it on an airplane. Here are my comments below: -

1  The chair is a little difficult to fold, but eventually you get the hang of it. The folding instructions are completely useless and did not help one bit - there is no mention of the fact that you cannot fold the chair with the bumper bar attached. The instructions don't even mention how the bumper bar is attached or how to install the rain cover. After an hour we discovered that you cannot fold the chair with the bumper bar on. Putting the bumper bar on is fine, its getting it off that is really hard as you need fingers of steel or as even a screw driver to depress the rigid clip in buttons on either side. My wife couldn't  unclip it at all. You need 2 people one to hold the chair and depress the button and someone else to pull the bumper bar out. The design could be so mch better if there was an easy push in / out spring loaded release button. After three weeks of strugling removing the bumper bar arm the mechanism broke into two and at that point we said enough was enough. I still though continually pinch my fingers in the mechanism when I fold the frame.

2  As the seat has no side support, our child's arms hang out the side and he kept catching them on things particularly in supermarkets and shops where a couple of times he nearly lost his arm from a passing trolley. So you need the bumper bar fitted to keep him inside and to stop his body slewing to one side.

3  Also the seat comes with two reclining positions either low or very low - forcing my child to lay at a very low angle rather than sitting up. Particularly as our child canot reach the foot rest yet.

4  The rain cover is very flimsy and is made out of the thinnest plastic you can imagine. On the second useage the plastic wripped away from the fabric edging at the stitching. We tried buying a replacement cover but struggled as most of the universal covers do not come down far enough down the sides leaving the bottom of the chair seat exposed.

5  When folded the central seat strap hangs down and drags along the floor when you convert it to trolley mode.

We took the chair back to John Lewis in january 2010, who refunded us immediately as they could see the design problems with the chair.  I was surprised to learn from John Lewis that apart from us they hadn't sold a single chair over the Xmas period and they had decided to reduce the chair from £155 to £95 to clear the stock.

So in summary I would say a great design idea, but this is more of a prototype chair than a tried and tested usable item. Some things that are trying to be clever are just a little bit too clever and don't always do the basics. Back to the drawing board I think. Thank God John Lewis refunded us.
