I have a second hand Jane Powertwin. It’s just broken, which has led me to this site to source a new one. I’ve only had it a year, and do not know how long the previous owner had it, so please bear this in mind for my comments:
Good points:
Looks nice
Narrow to get through doorways,
Folds quite easily and unfolds very easily!
Good for 6-12months particularly.
Proper tyres give it feel a smooth ride.
Poor points:
The storage basket is tiny and if you put the rain cover in it there is no room left at all to put shopping in.
There is no other storage on it – no little pockets in hoods etc, no hooks for handing light shopping bags. Every time we go out i have to take a rucksack for shopping!
It is pretty unstable unless you are on a completely flat surface. eg. when crossing the road you must come up and down from kerbs using both hands and straight on or else it tends to capsize.
The rain cover does not stay in place well in windy weather (velcro, not studs).
Its pretty hard work steering it with toddlers. You can either have it with the front wheel fixed, making it hard to steer corners, or with it free. When the front wheel is free the buggy will pull you all over the place – i feel a constant stress in my upper arms steering it straight. You cannot have a hand free to use phone/hold toddlers hand etc. when using it.
I wouldn’t buy another one!
with your pushchair you say the front wheel locked well ours keeps locking and we cannot get it to swivel again can you explain how you done this action
