I bought this buggy as a spare and to use while on holiday as my day to day pushchair takes up a lot of room in the boot of the car.
I have had it for 8 weeks and it has only had light use but it has broken already. The bolt that holds the seat to the chasis has come away and the seat is hanging off and the chasis collapses. Luckily my daughter was not in it at the time. I was warned about Mamas and Papas cutsomer service being terrible but I thought I would make my own mind up – I now wish I had listened to them!
They refuse to refund me for the faulty buggy and are only willing to repair it as I bought it more than 30 days ago. I am really upset about this as I really don’t trust the buggy and feel that my daughters safety is being compromised.
**BEWARE** IF YOU BUY A MAMAS AND PAPAS PRODUCT THEY WILL NOT GIVE A REFUND IF IT IS MORE THAN 30 DAYS OLD – EVEN IF IT IS DANGEROUS!! RUDE STAFF AND UNHELPFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY ONLY HAVE AN 0845 NUMBER TO CONTACT THEM ON WHICH THEY MAKE MONEY ON!!
I agree whole hearted with the above review. My daughter bought a tour buggy fro mAma and papas and the hood was faulty and the disc at the end of the string to put the buggy into layback came off. She returned to the shop within 30 days where a girl took part of her receipt and details and told her as soon as new stock came in she would receive a replacement. after a furth 12 days we went back to the shop to find out what was happening and they denied all knowledge of her previous visit saying she should not get a replacement but a repair. I told them this is unacceptable but we ended up having to leave a faulty pushchair that we were not happy with and take a temporary pushchair. The staff were really unhelpful and did not seem to care about any customer service. I wrote and complained and was told that the address for customer care on the backl of all receipts was incorrect and was directed to a site to make my complaint which said I would receive a reply within 48 hours. Well guess what after 5 days still no reply. When I phoned customer care a girl called Abby was very sympathetic but could not help me. She agreed the shop should have replaced the pushchair but said that as it had now been sent away for repair we were stuck with it. I am going to contact the trading standards as the pushchair we purchased was faulty and did not stand up to any wear at all. Mama and Papas want us to adhere to there time limits but they dont have adhere to there own time scales. My advise is go to Mothercare or anywhere else but not Mamas and Papas as there pushchairs are useless and there staff are really bad
Agree with previous reviews. I bought a tour stroller mainly for our holiday as it was light weight. I bought it from the Mama’s & Papa’s outlet shop at a good price but as previous reviews, it broke, whilst on holiday.
It has only had a maximum of 1 months use as I am a nana and only look after my grandson approx five days per month, so with the weeks holiday and the very little use prior, even at the sale price it was not worth the money. The toggle at the back broke off the string you pull to lie/sit up back rest, and by the end of the week the back rest was lop sided and the whole of the stitching had come away from one corner therefore not supporting one side of the backrest. Poor little mite, we were having to level his backrest with towels, I’m sure he must have been very uncomfortable. There was a guarantee with this but the pushchair has been skipped, I have now bought a sturdy pushchair with a better/stronger back rest solution. My next light weight pushchair will not be a M&P
