If you require a double pushchair you might ask yourself what's the best one for me? There are two types of double pushchairs but many different makes to choose from.

The Tandem pushchair has one seat behind the other. The padded one at the back usually has a reclining position which makes it ideal for the smallest child even from newborn. The seat at the front is more upright which is where the toddler would sit. The main benefit from these kind of pushchairs is that they fit through the narrow doorways that most Mum's come across at some time or another, also, the baby can sleep easier without being disturbed by the toddler, the seats are usually wider than on a twin pushchair too.

The Twin pushchair is probably more suitable for you if your children are quite close in age; they are probably the best choice if you have twins they tend to be lighter and easier to steer. There are many different models available from three wheeled versions to the more lightweight ones. The seats are not as wide as the Tandem but the overall width of the pushchair can make it difficult to get through some of the more narrow doorways, however most are designed to fit standard doorways.
